In October 2026, Belconti Resort Hotel became one of Antalya’s global meeting points, welcoming young space professionals from many countries and leading representatives of the international space sector.
Tomorrow’s Space Leaders Gathered at Belconti
Held in Belek, Antalya on 1–3 October 2026, the Space Generation Congress 2026 (SGC 2026) brought together around 150 selected students and young space professionals. Belconti Resort Hotel was the official hotel of the congress, organised by the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC).
Under the theme “Under One Moon, Across All Nations”, participants exchanged ideas on space technologies, science, sustainability and international cooperation. Through panels, working groups and networking events, they built new connections that will contribute to the future of space exploration.
Turkish Astronaut Tuva Cihangir Atasever at Belconti
The 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026), held in Antalya on 5–9 October 2026, brought Türkiye’s space activities to the global agenda. Türkiye’s second astronaut, Tuva Cihangir Atasever, also attended the congress and contributed to the programme on space research and scientific studies in microgravity.
Inspiring young people’s interest in space sciences and nurturing the next generation of space professionals were among the shared goals of these international gatherings. By bringing together generations from the young space community to experienced researchers in the same city, SGC 2026 and IAC 2026 strengthened Antalya’s place in the international space ecosystem.
